If man made global warming is a hoax, where and when did it start?
Remembering that the word hoax implies a deliberate falsehood -- Where and when did the "global warming hoax" begin? Did the world's climatologists, environmental scientists, environmental activists, liberal politicians, and other proponents of the man made global warming argument meet in some backroom somewhere and plan it all out? Are these same scientists, politicians, and celebraties deliberatly surpressing research that counters man made global warming? Are the dozens of peer reviewed journals that publish global warming research in on this vast conspiracy? How is the vast conspiracy maintained? Is such a hoax conspiracy likely? Or is it more likely that dozens or hundreds of scientists with diverse backgrounds, working in various fields, came to similar conclusions? News reports that man may be making the Earth warmer go back at least to the 1940s... http://www.globalwarmingarchive.com/viewer.aspx?img=19705748&search=Callendar The concept of global warming was introduced in the 1840s... So if it is a hoax, as some have claimed, it is a far reaching hoax involving figures in science, the media, and politics on every continent for 160 years. Does that seem plausible? One of the famous scientific hoaxes in the world, the so-called Piltdown Man, was exposed 40 year after its conception. The Piltdown Man hoax only involved a few people and was undone through advancements in anthropology. Do you honestly believe that global warming is a hoax that has been carried on for 4 times as long as Piltdown Man and would have involved hundreds, perhaps thousands of people?

What percentage of global warming deniers can't differentiate between weather and climate?
It seems like half the questions in the global warming section these days are 'if global warming is true why is it snowing today?'. What percentage of global warming deniers do you think don't know the difference between weather and climate, local and global, or past and present? Considering this figure and the small minority of people who continue to deny anthropogenic global warming (AGW), what does this tell you about the AGW denial movement?

What do the proponents of global warming consider normal climate change?
The climate has changed for billions of years. It's been much hotter and much colder. The temperature has gone up and down slower and faster. There has been much more and much less CO2 in the atmosphere. The CO2 has increased and decreased at slower and faster rates as well before humans exsisted. Also other planets in the solar system are changing at the same rate as earth. Why is it any different now? How can this be attributed to humans when this has all happend even before Humans were here? It seems that the so called environ"MENTAL" crowd should be behind global warming, if it's going to be as bad as they say. All of the catastrophy that they claim will happen will only result in a reduction of population, a key component in there argument to stop global warming. And if the debate is over, do the proponents of global warming/Climate change, understand they have lost? So the whats normal change? The Younger Dryas even changed by 10 to 18 degrees in approximately 10 years and then changed back. But mankind couldn't have had any effect at the time. And patrick is right, scientists know nothing about Climate change so how can it be said the debate is over?

What initiatives to stop global warming you know of?
Hi there, Surfing the Internet, there are way too many websites talking about stopping global warming and fighting its causes and consequences. Few of them list specific campaigns to achieve this, though, so I wanted to make a list —not of organizations— of initiatives towards the reduction of pollution or stopping the global warming threat. Which do you know? Can you help me build a list?

How much global warming catastrophe can America take before erupting into Civil War?
As you can see I'm not a global warming (end of the earth) denier. I simply wish our course of actions could be carried out more swiftly than anticipated in order that there might be more life left for innnocent creatures. And in order that the truely guilty receive fair compensation for their acts of pollution.

How does global warming contribute to record cold temperatures?
I really want to know because I don't know how global warming to supposed to contribute to these shifts in the weather--thanks! Anyone have any links? Because I know that global warming and CO2 emission is said to contribute to climate change and instability in the weather (hurricaine, blizzards, etc.). I'm just wondering about the mechanics/science behind this.

How does Plate Tectonics contribute to Global Warming?
Can someone please help me research/understand how continental drift can contribute to global warming? I’m looking for NATURAL causes of global warming that are relative to plate tectonics. Can sea floor spreading contribute? Can the change in ocean currents from the movement of continents contribute to global warming? Can mountain ranges created from continental drift contribute in anyway to global warming?
