im positive in hepatitis b. ive been consulting different doctors and test my blood several times but still positive. the doctor said that no drugs are available in the market for hepa B. does anyone know what are alternative medicine for hepa b? will i die?

What makes you think alternative medicine is effective?
Indeed, western medicine can be risky. But alternative medicines are not usually backed by any kind of science. Which is not to say that science does not study nature and plants in relation to human health. Aspirin was discovered in the bark of a type of tree.
But with such concrete science backing western medicine and next to no science behind alternative medicine, why should I believe it's effective?

Why do people chose to use alternative medicine?
I'm studying alternative medicine for sociology at school and was wondering why people chose to use alternative medicine when modern medicine is available. Even people with cancer, chose to use alternative therapy instead of rely in doctors. I am just very unsure why. Thanks everyone!
By the way, I'm not here to bag on you or tell you that what you believe is wrong. I'm just looking to find someone with first hand experience on the matter.

What type of higher education is needed to pursue a career in Alternative medicine?
I live in dallas tx and i just graduated high school. I want to pursue a career in alternative medicine such as herbology and such, but i don't know where to start. if anyone lives in dallas and knows a great way in which to begin my studies or just knows, your feedback is greatly appreciated. What's the best way to find a local primary care doctor with more of an "alternative medicine" leading?
I've got Blue Cross coverage, and I can't tell from their directory of doctors who would be more likely to have an alternative medicine leaning (in other words, if there's a problem, the first answer isn't just a pharmeseutical one, but might involve nutrition/natural remedies.)
Any thoughts of how to find a doctor like this? Thanks!
